Our Favorite Engagement Stories:  Jade & Cameron's story

Cameron was 7 when he moved into Jade's neighborhood with his family. (Jade is 3 months older)  They were the same religion and went to the same school.  They were each others first love.  At 14 they would walk to the mailbox, Cameron told her he loved her, she broke up with him(she was scared).  But they remained friends.  After dating other people they  came back together at 19, Cameron asked for a date.  Jade said okay just one!  He set out to impress her, he took her and her parents to the Astro's  wild card in 2004, in a LIMO.  He wouldn't leave her side from then on and she didn't want him to.  about_img2.jpg She had a vacation planned for November of 2004 in Hawaii with her best friend & her brother.  He couldn't stand to be away from her so Cameron & I (her Mom)went  to Hawaii.  He planned to ask her to marry him.  He bought her little gifts at each airport, a jigger in California and a note that said "thanks for giving me a shot", a stuffed moose from Colorado, a Hawaiian lei for the night of THE date, a Disney's princess coffee cup filled with chocolate and a ring.  Everyone was supposed to be going to dinner but instead we dropped them off at a beautiful beachside restaurant and while they waited for their table they walked by the water and Cameron gave her the best gift yet his heart and a ring to symbolize their love.  On March 12 of 2005, they were married in my front yard with all their friends and family to celebrate their joy.
